ROCK'S Mission

ROCK helps infants, children, teens and adults live healthier lives through: early assessment and diagnosis; effective and innovative treatment and therapy; and prevention and early intervention for those having, or at risk of developing, mental health problems or mental illness.

ROCK promotes positive child development through programs and services that strengthen the ability of families and the community to raise and nurture children.

ROCK Child and Family Services: 
Walk In Clinic
The Clinic provides quick access to therapeutic intervention as it enables family members to see trained therapists at their chosen moments of need. The entire family or individual family members may come to the clinic without an appointment during walk-in clinic hours.

The clinics are offered at three locations:
 
Tuesdays in Oakville (323 Kerr Street)
12:00 to 8:00 pm. Last session 6:30
Wednesdays in Burlington (471 Pearl Street)
12:00 to 8:00 pm. Last session 6:30
Wednesdays in Milton (400 Bronte St. South)
12:00 to 8:00 pm. Last session 6:30
All Walk-in clinics closed Christmas and March Break

Ontario Early Years

The Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) is the Ontario Early Years Centre (OEYC) for the Burlington Community. All of our Ontario Early Years Programs are offered free of charge.

Ontario Early Years Centres are places where parents and caregivers can:

  • take part with their children in a range of programs and activities
  • get answers to questions
  • get information about programs and services that are available for young children
  • talk to early years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community.
OEYC Registration is CLOSED

Registration for summer programs will take place from May 27 - June 7, 2013.

Holiday Weekend

All ROCK/OEYC sites will be closed from May 18 - May 20, 2013 for the Victoria Day weekend. All sites will re-open on their regular schedule on May 21, 2013.

Peer Support for
Postpartum Mood Disorder
Postpartum Mood Disorder effects one in five women following the birth of a child. Having a peer support network can contribute to a faster recovery. Come join other mothers for discussion and support in a relaxing environment the 2nd and 4th Wednesday afternoon of each month from 1-3 p.m. Click here for more information.

Breastfeeding Meet-Up
Breastfeeding isn't always easy. Drop-in and enjoy the company of other moms in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Get information, ask questions and receive support from Camilla Aviss RN,BHSc(N),CCCE, IBCLC from Multiple Reasons Lactation Support Services. Click here for dates, times and topics.
