About Us

History of the Burlington Family Resource Centre
The Burlington Parent-Child Centre (BPCC) first opened its doors at St. Philip’s Church in September of 1986. The Centre has grown tremendously since then. The former BPCC offered part time drop-in programs and parenting support. Eventually the BPPC became the Burlington Family Resource Centre (BFRC), offering fee for service programs to Burlington families.

In 2002, the BFRC became the lead Ontario Early Years Centre for Burlington, offering an even greater variety of free drop-in and registered programs and parenting services. Today, BFRC operates programs from six locations across the city, including strip mall locations, churches and a long term care facility.

Effective April 1, 2008, the BFRC merged with the Reach Out Centre for Kids (R.O.C.K) to become ROCK Ontario Early Years. This merger will provide the opportunity for the continued growth and development of 0-6 programming and services in both organizations as well as strengthen our presence in the community.
